Bush Declares: 'We Do Not Torture'

President Bush vigorously defended U.S. interrogation practices in the war on terror Monday and lobbied against a congressional drive to outlaw torture. "There's an enemy that lurks and plots and plans and wants to hurt America again," Bush said. "So you bet we will aggressively pursue them but we will do so under the law." He declared, "We do not torture."

You don't torture, but you don't want to outlaw it. Why? Because you want to keep doing it? 'Cause you are, and you know you are, so why not stop bullshitting everyone and come clean? Oh, wait, I know - because Americans don't torture people, at least, not officially. That's something that other countries do, apparently.

Right.

It's like nuclear weapons - the U.S. doesn't want anyone else to have any, but it's okay if they keep several thousand on hand. Torture is evil except when the U.S. has to do it. Then it's not torture, it's 'advanced interrogation techniques'.

How can anyone support an administration that continues to promote and use torture? Somehow, it doesn't seem all that Christian.

It must be frustrating to be so ignorant of the very things you claim to know. Why don't you leave our country to us. In case you haven't noticed, the liberals down here, like you, haven't won a major election in over a decade. You and your tired ideas can just stay north of the border.

You know, a quick scan of your blog here has put my heart at rest....it is really re-assuring that your idiocy is such a great secret! God knows, we have enough deluded (read: Liberal) people here in America to worry about, let alone having to respond to your poorly framed arguments and too-simple comprehension. I guess I should take heart that the lack of response to your blogs most likely means that if you ever have any visitors to your website, they have the same opinion of your ideas as I do.

Ah, the internet, where people who wouldn't have the balls to insult anybody to their faces in real life feel no shame in ripping somebody apart anonymously. Yet I find myself unsurprised that Bush-suckers would be so lacking in honor. You know, there is another group of people that I can recall who are too chicken-shit to show their faces - they like to wear white sheets and always have a rope ready to tie into a noose. Funny how it's not liberals who are associated with a group like that...
